ROBERT MEGEL is a Dresden-based designer working at the intersection of architecture, furniture, and product design. After studying architecture at the Technical University of Dresden and the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto, he gained professional experience at Herzog & de Meuron in Basel and Rohdecan Architekten in Dresden. Today, he focuses on developing his own furniture collections and objects characterized by clear forms, material-conscious design, and a minimalist aesthetic.
His designs are created in close dialogue with craftsmanship and materials, with cork and aluminum playing a central role. His goal is to create furniture that endures beyond trends and develops its own unique language—functional, timeless, and at the same time, tactile.
